question:: how did you choose your pen name?
answer:: i've got 2 pen names. kazuka is very similar to my real one and i've been using it since high school. my friends who don't know anything about yaoi manga already knew me by the name of kazuka, therefore i created haruka to use it for comics with a lot of sex scenes. by now everybody knows me this way so it doesn't matter anymore.
q:: which was your fave manga when you were a child?
a:: in primary school i used to read a shoujo magazine named ribon a lot, and most of all i enjoyed tokimeki tonight.
q:: what do you like doing in your spare time?
a:: sleeping. if i've still got some energies i like shopping.
q:: how was your childhood?
a:: i was a tomboy; i enjoyed much more playing with boys rather than girls. i used to fish in the river and catch insects every day. in the last year of primary shcool, during my tide turn, i always played wrestling, or tenkihanmo [a japanese game]. alle medie i discovered my passion for drawing and i started attending the cultural club.
q:: why did you choose drawing?
a:: i felt in love with anime, and started to copy the drawing.
q:: how did you start working in the yaoi world?
a:: when i was attending the medium i used to read some djs on captain tsubasa.
q:: what would you do if you may could change your life?
a:: if i were a male i'd go in the homo roundabouts (^^). if i had to start again as a woman i'd like to attend a normal highschool not a female one, and i'd like to attend a professional school, since i'd like to become a professional make-up artist.
q:: what do you enjoy most by now?
a:: digital monster and digimon adventures
q:: what do you listen to?
a:: i usually buy a lot of miscellaneous cd singles, without choosing them, and digimon cd.
q:: as to your own works which character do you like most and which less?
a:: it's hard to reply since it's embarassing. anyway according to the easy drawing i like ayano from sutochiru [short name for strawberry children^^ n.d.violet] a lot. i don't like drawing seme that much.
q:: what would you like to draw in the future?
a:: i'm always asked to make funny and easy stuff with a lot of sex scenes, but i've already given everything i had in this way. now i'd really like to draw something different.
q:: which is your peculiarity?
a:: seme have to be always charming, even if this way they're too perfect (^^). uke have to be always beautiful because it's funny.
q:: which instruments are you using?
a:: various ink pens, according to my mood. pilot ink, the one used fo architectural projects, IC paper, normal colors.
q:: what do you do to relax yourself?
a:: sleeping, going out, doing the washes, taking bath, play videogames, watching TV, reading, and so on...
q:: how was your debut?
a:: when i was still an office lady i used to go to every djs convention, and once i was given a visit card. in that moment i didn't know i'd have worked in the yaoi world.
q:: tell us some of your secrets, please.
a:: i don't like writing the plot, i'm not very well organized. i don't like making storyboard for the manga or for the various characters, because i think they're a waste of time since they aren't the real comic and i'd really like to start drawing the manga immediately. anyway these aren't secrets.
q:: a message to our readers:
a:: to tell the truth i don't have a PC yet, but i'd really like to have a website within the end of the year. i'd like to get really good with computers, but i'm also afraid to be completely absorbed by the PC and, once i get into the virtual world, not to be able to come back to the real one. anyway if i have an e-mail, please write me.
